Consultations

DCS has Instructional Technology Supervisors on each campus who are available to work with you to help you make the most of technology in your classroom. These consultations are tailor-made to the needs of our faculty and can take many forms, from meeting in your classroom to work through a technical issue, to brainstorming possible ways to integrate technology into your class plan, to learning how to use different teaching tools that we support. Whether you have a specific question or would like to meet to learn more about classroom technology broadly, consultations are a great way to speak directly with an expert. To start the conversation, fill our an Assistance Request form.

To give you a sense of how we might be able to help you, the following are some of the more common topics that we have discussed with faculty:

  • Annotation tools
  • Web Apps
  • Alternatives to PowerPoint, including Keynote and Prezi
  • Kaltura lecture capture
  • Using Digital Classroom Systems
  • Keynote
  • An introduction to using Mac computers
  • Projecting from mobile devices
  • Video conferencing
  • Wireless projecting using Solstice
