This summer's Active Learning 101 session is set for August 28th on Busch Campus. In addition to being required for faculty using our Active Learning Classrooms for the first time, AL 101 is a great opportunity to gain a grounding in the fundamentals of this exciting approach to teaching. The half-day workshop includes a review of active learning pedagogy, guidance on creating activities, demonstrations of helpful classroom technology, and a conversation with instructors who have been using active learning in their classes. Join us on Wednesday May 22nd for the Rutgers Active Learning Symposium. Now in its third year, RALS is an all- day event designed to highlight cutting-edge research, novel approaches, exciting case studies and more relating to the use of active learning in higher education. Along with several sessions led by faculty and staff from Rutgers and beyond, the centerpiece of the day will be a presentation and workshop from this year's visiting expert, Dr. Idaykis Rodriguez. The Active Learning Community is now accepting presentation proposals for this May's Rutgers Active Learning Symposium. In addition to a keynote presentation from a visiting national leader in active learning, this all-day event held during the week of May 20th will highlight presentations from members of the Rutgers and larger high education communities sharing their research, experiences, and use of active learning.
