2021 RALS Registration Open

The Rutgers Active Learning Symposium is a day of presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and poster sessions exploring active learning teaching techniques.

Registration for the 2021 Rutgers Active Learning Symposium (RALS) is now open. This year’s all-virtual RALS will be held on Wednesday May 19th from 9am-3:30pm. 

We are very excited to announce Flower Darby as the 2021 Rutgers Active Learning Symposium keynote presenter. Flower celebrates and promotes effective teaching in all class formats to include, welcome, and support all students as they learn and succeed. Flower speaks, writes, presents and consults on teaching and learning theory and practice both nationally and internationally. She has helped educators all over the world become more effective in their work. She is the author, with James M. Lang, of Small Teaching Online: Applying Learning Science in Online Classes, and she’s a columnist for the Chronicle of Higher Education. Her new book on emotion science and teaching with technology is forthcoming from West Virginia University Press.

Flower’s keynote presentation and workshop will join a full day of sessions devoted to the application of active learning in traditional and non-traditional modes of delivery. For a full list of sessions and additional details, visit the RALS homepage. 

Fill out a registration form to confirm your attendance. Registration is free and open to member of the Rutgers community and educators anywhere. Registrants will be emailed information on joining the conference virtually shortly before the Symposium.
