Help Desk Supervisors
Michael Bowker, Help Desk Supervisor, bears a multitude of responsibilities central to the daily operation of DCS’s support staff. Michael oversees the Help Desk, the central conduit for all faculty requests for support. He also works with the DCS Support Specialists, training them, overseeing their performance, and dispatching them to address on-campus challenges. Michael joined Rutgers after several years of corporate experience in inventory management and customer service. He is now responsible for oversight of DCS’s vast equipment inventory, semester loan program, payroll, and event oversight. Michael is also a skilled troubleshooter, adept at assisting faculty through challenges over the phone and in person.
Dan Scheiman, Help Desk Supervisor, earned a B.A. from Rutgers University in 2005. He went on to receive his Master's in Communication from the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University in 2012. Dan has served Rutgers for eleven years and has been a Supervisor with DCS since 2008. Dan oversees the Help Desk, DCS’s central hub for all New Brunswick campuses. He is responsible for ensuring that all faculty requests are adequately addressed by the DCS staff. Dan also oversees many of DCS’s administrative responsibilities, including employee scheduling and procurement. Dan is an expert on classroom technology, with experience in both training faculty and installing equipment.
