DCS continues to upgrade Rutgers-New Brunswick classrooms with our new, standard system. Over winter break, three classroom were outfitted with new technology. Allison Road Classrooms 105 and 107 on Busch Campus are now equipped with Digital Classroom Podiums. Foran Hall 191, on Cook/Douglass, has been upgraded with a Digital Classroom Flip-Top, the small-room version of the podium. Both systems provide instructors with modern presentation and collaboration tools for their classes.
Following these updates, 215 of the 276 general-purpose classrooms are now equipped with some version of the Digital Classroom Podium. The systems are all operated by faculty using Rutgers Room Control, a home-grown application. As a result, faculty teaching in one of these rooms will be prepared to teach in any room with a new system. With this winter's upgrades, we are nearing or our goal of proving a standard, classroom system in all Rutgers-NB general-purpose classrooms.
