This year's Big Ten Student Design Challenge will include its first entry from Rutgers. For this year's challenge, Rutgers students from all schools were invited to redesign an existing student space in the Rutgers Academic Building. Proposals used design software to present a space that could serve the varying needs of the building's occupants, furnished with seating and accessories provided by Herman Miller. "The A Team," comprised of Angelina Balh (SCI), Nisha Khan (Psychology), Khanh Lu (SCI & SAS) and Ashley Muflam (SCI) were declared the winners for submitting an idea that skillfully considered aesthetics, functionality, and flow. "The A Team" proposal will now face a review board from all Big Ten participants. The top three teams will fly to Minnesota to present their ideas at the Herman Miller Headquarters. The final winner will have their plan enacted with Herman Miller providing the furnishings. Congratulations to these innovate Scarlet Knights!
