New Webcams and Wireless Presenters

Image removed.DCS is now offering two additional types of equipment for delivery or loan:  webcams and wireless presenters. Web cameras offer a great, simple way to video chat during class with students in other locations or bring in a guest lecturer without the hassle of travel. Wireless presenters provide instructors with the means to run a computer-based presentation from anywhere in the room, allowing them to step away from the computer and interact directly with students.

The Logitech C615 Web Cam - which includes a microphone - can be used with Macs and PCs to web chat using popular applications like Skype, iChat, and FaceTime. The webcam is available for use with the Digital Classroom Podium or instructors' personal laptops. For more information, please view the C615 product page.

The Satechi SP400 Wireless Presenter is a small remote that can be used to run computer-based slide presentations. The remote enables instructors to move forward and backward through presentations, temporarily hide the presentation, and play or pause slide shows. The SP400 also have a laser pointer and mouse feature, which allows instructors to control their computer by moving around the screen and left or right clicking. The Wireless Presenter works with Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac Os devices that have a USB port. They are available for use with the Digital Classroom Podium or instructors' personal laptops. For more information on the SP400, please view Satechi's product page.

Web cams and wireless presenters can be delivered to class meetings or taken for a semester loan. To request one for your class, please fill out an Equipment Request form.
