Over the summer, DCS's TS&O staff installed new technology in eighteen classrooms. On Livingston Campus, Lucy Stone Hall Rooms B105, B110, and B205 were all upgraded with Digital Classroom Podiums. School of Communication & Information 212, Ruth Adams Building 001, and Hickman Hall 202 and 211 were outfitted with DCPs. We also swapped out older Digital Classroom Podiums in Murray Hall Rooms 210, 211, 212, and 213 with the newest version of our podium, which include Blu-ray drives and document camera lifts.
This summer marked the arrival of a brand new system for Rutgers classrooms, the Digital Classroom Flip-Top. The "Flip" is our new standard for seminar rooms and small classrooms and brings the functionality of the DCP to a table-top design. The Flip also introduces wireless display sharing for the first time in DCS rooms. Flip systems were installed in the brand new Honors College seminar rooms, as well as Hickman Hall Room 206. For more information, visit the Digital Classroom Flip-Top page.
Finally, as we continue to work towards our goal of upgrading all our classrooms with our Digital Classroom Systems, we frequently refresh other equipment that was removed during upgrades. This summer, we replaced aging systems in Campbell Hall with Crestron Touchscreen Systems that were removed from new DCP rooms. These systems will provide a better experience for Rutgers faculty and staff in Campbell Hall until these rooms are ultimately updated with Digital Classroom Podiums.
