Highlights from RALS

The 2018 Rutgers Active Learning Symposium is in the books, but there is plenty left to dive into.  More than 175 guests from Rutgers and beyond learned from their peers who have developed various modes of active learning in their classes. Participants in this year's event explored gamification, team-based learning, active learning approaches to online learning, and much more.  Special guest Dr. Kimberly Tanner led attendees through two dynamic sessions on the importance of how class content is sequenced and how non-content talk from instructors can influence students. Through these presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and poster sessions - faculty and staff were able to learn about how active learning is used to engage students and strengthen learning.

You can now explore the day's topics on the Symposium page, complete with photos, summaries, slide decks, and other related resources.
