The start of the fall semester is just around the corner. As you gather your course materials and prepare your syllabus - don't forget to prepare for all your classroom technology needs. Start by taking a look at your classroom. Spin through a 360 degree panorama of the room to get a feel for what your classroom experience will be like. Check the Classroom Features tab for a list of your room's offerings - from power outlets to furniture. Finally, check the Technology tab to see what equipment your room is equipped with. Still looking for a room that meets your technology needs? Use our advanced classroom search to identify rooms that have what you are looking for. If you have found a match, contact Scheduling & Space Management to reserve a room.
Now that you know what technology is in your room, visit the How Do I...? page for videos, tutorials, and instructions designed to help you get started quickly using DCS equipment. Or, register for an Emerging Technology Now workshop. During the week before classes begin, we will be holding one ETN workshop on each campus where faculty are invited to learn how to operate our classroom systems and can spend time familiarizing themselves with the equipment and test out their course media.
Do you need a piece of equipment that is not already in your room? Request additional equipment as either a delivery or semester-long loan. Or if you are interested using technology in your class, but are not sure where to begin, skim through the articles in the Classroom Technology Blog for ideas on new things you can try for your course.
