The pandemic has forced us to reimagine how and where class is conducted. To help faculty reach their students however they are able to attend class, DCS has increased its support of converged learning. Converged courses are comprised of students who attend class online and students who attend in-person at the same time while the instructor teaches from a classroom equipped with technology to connect them with both sets of students. During the pandemic, faculty offered converged classes so that students could choose the method of attending that was most convenient and comfortable for them. In the fall of 2021, converged courses will help prevent unnecessary crowding in classrooms. You can learn more about converged learning and the Synchronous Learning Spaces that host them by visiting the Converged Learning page or watching the video below.
