This past summer, DCS's Build Team upgraded the presentation technology in 42 Rutgers-New Brunswick classrooms. Older presentation systems in classrooms on each campus were replaced with brand-new podiums and table-based systems. Various classrooms in the Pond Science and Engineering Resource Center, Frelinghuysen, Hickman, Food Science, Loree, Food Science, Ruth Adams, and Lucy Stone Hall are now equipped with Digital Classroom Podiums (DCPs) capable of high-definition projection of Mac, Blu-ray, document camera, and portable device images. Our team also upgraded the auditoriums in Loree, Food Science, and Beck with a version of our podium designed for large teaching spaces. Finally, Lucy Stone Hall B123, a small seminar-style room, has been equipped with a Digital Classroom Flip-Top, a table-based version of the DCP that includes wireless display technology.
When combined with the new classrooms of the Rutgers Academic Building and the Active Learning Classroom in Tillett 204 which opened over the summer, 60 more rooms now have a version of the Digital Classroom Podium as a result of this summer's work. At 77 percent, we are nearing our goal of equipping all DCS rooms with some version of the Digital Classroom Podium so that we can provide a consistent and state-of-the-art experience for Rutgers classes.
